Genre of music video: We decided to go with a narrative music video because it can create a visual story of the songs lyrics whilst keeping the video interesting with the performance of the band. But we will keep all the shots very cinematic using various locations and camera shots/angles to create a visually pleasing and engaging music video.
Form:
The Form will be a music video of around 4 minutes in length for the song Castle of Glass by Linkin Park.
Locations:
Our music video will be set in a variety of locations with the main locations being in:
-A wooded area
-A Field
-An abandoned Warehouse or building
- A House and Bedroom
Time:
The Time set of our music video will vary throughout due to the cinematic shots available throughout the day and the night.
The Change of time through continuous editing will help build the story and give a 'day in the life' experience.

Within our music video there will be:
-The Main Character: James (Update: now played by Liam D-S)

Plot:
James' dad is arguing with both him and his mum, his dad hits his mum, James decides to leave. There is a shot of a door slamming (Preferably when it's raining = Cliche) and then it Fades to James walking in the woods : Que Music. The surrounding sounds (birds tweeting, wind and water) begin to fade out as James puts on his headphones. Therefore the music track becomes diegetic as it is a part of his world.
Throughout James' adventures the video cuts to shots of the band singing at a location (either the woods or an abandoned Warehouse)=(James is all alone/insignificant and has no-one to talk to)
After coming back home James sees his mum and dad arguing again and James storms off.
Ending: James is looking out over the horizon from a field or top of a building and a close up of his face shows a tear rolling down his face.
All camera shots and details will be shown in the animatic.
